Nice beach, glad i had the GPS as it was not that easy to find. Clean water nice sand. Not the best beach ever but probably the nicest in the Newport area.

Only negative was the egrets trying to steal food. They got a little too close for comfort at times. Beach was very clean, lifeguards were present, snackbar, and lots of parking. Sand was nice and ocean had perfect amount of waves. There was a little...More

Spent the day here on our recent visit - beautiful beach. Very well maintained. Parking during the week only $15. We didn't visit the concession however the bathrooms were very clean. Beach itself was perfect - waves just right, sand was great. Scenery is lovely...More

Sand is soft even into the water. Waves are great. Atmosphere is awesome. It's $15 to park on weekdays. Get there by 11:00 or there's a mile long line to get into parking lot. Bring chairs and umbrella...no rentals.

This is a great beach. It is clean and family oriented. The sand is soft like baby powder and the water is warm. During our visit other beaches had red tide this one did not. The waves are calm so you don't get knocked down...More

Our family enjoyed this beach. Reasonable admission fee ($15.00) for the day. Better surf than Easton Beach. The seagulls do like to raid the food in your beach bag... so keep It in a cooler!

After hearing from several people about this beach we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. It is a beautiful beach! Everything about it was perfect! Clean restrooms, clean changing stalls, nice snack bar.

Not your typical touristy, over-done beach. Clean, well staffed and awesome changing rooms and restrooms. If you're looking for cheap t-shirts and other boardwalk sort of stuff, RI is not for you. If you're looking for nice waves, soft sand and a day at the...More

I used to go to first beach but found this one to be the best! No seaweed, food if you need it, but if you come prepared you can drop your blanket on a long stretch away from the crowds...you won't regret it!
