I live right on Angell Road (across from beach entrance) and love to visit this beach, all times of the year. This is the perfect spot to see the sunrise. There is a wonderful hiking path by the end of the beach where the brick house looking building is, go for a walk there! The scenery changes dramatically, and it... More

But it certainly has changed, the beach area isn't as nice, tradition from beach into water drops off fast and is very rocky. Just not as nice as it once was

Anywhere else on the beach and it sucks here. This is the beach everyone and their mother goes to. But the north side of the beach is most for those beach house renters or for those who know where to go. No lifeguards, not patrolled, not as crazy busy.

It's great to walk along the board walk or in the sand. Sometimes it does get a bit windy out there! You can see for miles over to Newport and up the Bay to the bridges and at night the lights from Sakonnet Point and beyond . It is a very special location.

We were here off season, but it was still very pleasant to walk along the beach. It is a very beautiful beach.

This beach really should be listed as one of the top ten beaches. It's stunning. The sand is beautiful, views are amazing and offers a great walk on the rocks as well as the sand.

We have been going to this beach for over 40 years. It is one of the widest and longest beaches in the area. It would be nice if they cleaned the north end of the beach better.

Wonderful beach. The season is over so not crowded like in the middle of summer. Many amenities nearby like restaurants, gift shops etc. Excellent vacation spot.
