The Ferry as a comfortable ride gets a Very Good Rating. The overall reservation process and cost for tickets, parking, wait times, etc, get an Okay at best. Even so, it is still better leaving from Quonset Point as a So. RI resident than having...More

This was a great journey to Martha's Vineyard. The ferry is quite comfortable with nice accommodations. It is a bit of a bumpy ride compared to the slower ferry. So, if you have problems with seasickness, this might not be for you. We enjoyed the...More

We attempted to go on the lighthouse cruise but when we got there we were told it was sold out but we could be standby. They made us buy the $70 tickets (2) and would not tell us how many people were ahead of us....More

This is somewhat of a new ferry system. Decided to try it a since I've been wanting to go to Martha's Vineyard for quite sometime. It's the easiest route from RI. Boat was very comfortable, had good adequate seating and staff was extremely pleasant. Just...More

Loved it. The scenic views and minutes saved are so worth the high price. I came mid-day of course, so there was no perfect sunset or anything... but the views of the vast but small blue were still perfect.

Slightly more expensive - and sometimes those minutes saved are worth the dollars spent. This is especially true OB a day trip. Keep eye on the schedule - don't get confused.

Colloquially known as the "vomit comet", it gets you to MV in 1.5 hours, but in rough seas, those with tender stomachs are often quite distressed. Getting a seat that faces forward can help. It's quite clean and nicely decorated. There are booths lining the...More

Just an update on the above questions, try an Uber it should be much less than your regular cab. Also the ferry trip only takes 95 minutes not 2.5 hours.
