The view is beautiful and the swings are the place to be in downtown Beaufort. They might squeak a bit but that adds to the charms of this small town in the low country. Plan to make a stop at the Waterfront Park and enjoy...More

Dog-walkers, outdoor tables, restaurants, green space, swings, kids running free, tropical flowers, historic plaques, sailboats and wonderful views of the Lowcountry make this one of the crown jewels of this historic town.

The waterfront was interesting, but smaller than what we're used to in Mystic, CT. Easy parking and a nice walk. Pretty seating places perfect to eat a take-out lunch. The historical buggy ride begins here too

This park makes the entire Beaufort river front area shine. Very nicely done and a pleasure to walk through or dine near. Especially enjoyed the water front swinging benches. A great addition to the park.

We walked the length of Bay Street and the houses and scenery is amazing. Most tranquil and beautiful views; lots of things to see and pique your interest. Well worth a visit.

Hi, I'm wanting g to take pictures at the waterfront on Sunday but I saw where construction was being done. Is the waterfront still open to the public?

I was wondering if special permits were necessary for a wedding at the park? We are planning a small (under 20 people), simple wedding ceremony in June. Thanks in advance for any information.
