Definitely worth a stroll among the big old houses. I'd bring the local tourist map that details a bit of information about each one.

Take time to walk the area and enjoy the beautiful homes built before the Civil War. Many were built by wealthy plantation owners. Lots of history. Some used in movies filmed in the area.

Was on a cycling tour of old Beaufort and just happened to come across this area. Lots of pretty old homes-nice to look at, and essentially iconic of the old south.

This residential park fronts the water and is a great place to bring a cup of coffee and visit with a friend. Adjacent to fine Antibellum style homes, most historic and registered, it isn't hard to imagine the Old South days.
