We offer a cafeteria-style restaurant with paninis, burgers, poutine, pizza, specialty apple items, and more. Gifts, souvenirs and unique market items surround you as you browse our establishment. A fun, whimsical area awaits you where you'll feel 'like a kid in a candy shop' again! Our apple cider brewery offers FREE cider sampling and a wonderful selection of bottled apple-icious cider blends. Outside (weather permitting), you'll find Mr.Applehead, an observatory - and the world's largest apple-shaped structure, in which you can ascend inside to discover breath-taking vistas of surrounding countryside. We also offer a kiddie train-ride, outdoor activities such as mini-golf, ping pong, lawn bowling, animal attractions, and more! Best of all, all these activities are FREE!

Stopped for lunch, I found it very confusing but finally ordered from the cafeteria, the food was not bad but the prices were crazy, I do not know how a family could possibly afford lunch there. Two cokes one chicken sandwich and onion rings. $23.00 Judge for yourself

We had seen this big apple on the side of the road once before. But it was only after renting a cottage at Presqu'ile Park that we actually went to the Big Apple. It is a great place. Lots to do and see. The Apple Pies are delicious and the cider is worth bringing back home. We'll plan a stop every... More

Who could resist that happy face painted on a giant apple. We are driving to Montreal on the 401 and i just had to pull over to see what this Big Apple was all about. This is restaurant/gift shop/candy store/bakery that smells amazing. We tried the apple cider and some apple coffee and used the very clean washrooms. I will... More

A great stop on the way back from Montreal or Ottawa. Just off the highway the Big Apple has two gift shop type stores in addition to all the fresh baked apple pie. Definitely a tourist pull however, you can not pass up the fresh pies making it worth the stop.

Hello, Norm and thank you for your great review! We are conveniently located right off the 401, so it can be a quick stop or longer - depending on a traveler's schedule. We are all about the apple pies and breads and other goodies but, as you noted, we also have a couple of gift/souvenir areas which are fun to... More

Hello, Ryan and thank you for recent visit and nice review! We are pleased you enjoy seeing our bakery in action - they start early and work very hard to make and bake enough of all of the pies, breads and other goodies! We do have two rather distinct areas as well as the 401 Brewery and our recently opened... More

We stopped on our way home from Parry Sound to take a break. I didn't know there was a brewery there but that is a good addition to bakery. We stopped to get some apple crumble for lunches this week but my son had to get a piece for a snack. The little shop has been improved since the last... More

Visited The Big Apple for the first time after many years of seeing it off the highway. It is a kitschy tourist stop - first and foremost. We bought lemon squares that were pretty much inedible - just lemon pie filling on a virtually liquid graham cracker base - it was terrible. We each had a bite to verify how... More

Quick review of the big apple! If you like apples, lamas, sheep and hidden brewery well this might be the place for you. With my girlfriend we started it from by feeding the animals outside they were super friendly and hilarious. After having a few laughs went inside where you can get pretty much anything associated with apples. Lots of... More
