Great souvenirs! All kinds of very beautiful gifts and food too! Expensive as all else in Charleston, but worth it

Our city tour guide dropped us off by the city Market. The market covers several blocks and features a wide variety of crafts, jewelry, locally made grass baskets, etc. we enjoyed browsing and my wife bought a nice handcrafted silver ring.

Shopping, nothing too exciting. Worth a quick walk through on your way to dinner. Night hours on Friday and Saturday.

So here, swhat you get...some areas are open air others airconditioned. Lots of woven baskets, lots of handmade jewelry, knitted items, some food stuffs, wood carvings, candles etc. we probably spent 30-40 minutes and only bought a Christmas ornament. Not the most exciting place.

It's quintessential Charleston. It's booth after booth if stuff you'll never need but will wind up buying. Just avoid the people selling you yours and you'll do just fine

There are no baggage restrictions that I am aware of. However, the market is crowded and it will be awkward trying to move about with large bags.

I am Not sure about that... didn't see any dogs on leashes in the market area. We live here in Charleston but I've never brought our dogs into the market.
