We really enjoyed the gardens, although the map could have been better. It was easy to take the wrong turn as some were not labeled/numbered. In fact, we were asked for directions by other visitors. Due to a miscommunication when we purchased our tickets, we...More

This is a nice half a day or full day trip from Charleston depending on which tours you signed on for. We did the gardens and the house tour only. The house is not the original house which burned down so there is less history...More

Don't expect Gone With the Wind, this was a farm house. We were stuffed into the house along with 50 other people so the rooms felt very small and we were reminded that the Yankees burned their treasures. The garden lacked flowers, lots of winding...More

Self-guided walks through gardens and wildlife preserve, and a boat tour, are some of the highlights of this plantation. The Audubon Swamp Garden is another highlight.

I didn't come across any uber cars, but they did have plenty of buses. Since you are staying downtown though definitely plan on walking to your nearby destinations because everything is close by. Hope that helps!
