A worthwhile visit; great historic church

One of two churches (other St Philips) which should be visited--George Washington worshipped there on a visit

While dividing my time between two states I worshipped at St. Michael's Church. It is a caring and spiritual body of believers. The church is a beautiful and historic setting.

Great old church, love the history! The architecture is spectacular for the time frame that it was built. This is the second location for this church.

Two very nice ladies at a nearby (closed) church sent us to St. Michael's. It is a beautiful historic church definitely worth a visit.

We did a self guided tour walking around Charleston (got it off AAA website) and this was a must stop for us because of the history. Charleston is such a beautiful, quaint historical town that throws you back in time. Get lost in the many homes with beautiful gardens, gated entrances and wooden porches. Service was going on when we... More

It was a great 10 minute stop along the way. An old church that well worth the stop. Attached is a cemetery with 2 of the signers of the Declaration of Independence buried there.

We were in Charleston at Christmas time and walked to St. Michaels Church to see it decorated for Christmas. It is a beautiful Church and the doors are open for visitors much of the time during the Christmas season. It is well worth your time even if you don't attend on of the services.

This is a gorgeous, historical Anglican church, though the music was a blend of traditional, modern and even gospel! As we enterred the usher could tell we were visitors and sat us in the pew used by both George Washington and Robert E. Lee when they were in Charleston! As a history buff, needless to say I was in awe!!

Quiet and beautiful place to escape the crowds. See if you can schedule a time to visit the belfry while they are chiming. This is still done by hand and the process is fun to watch.

This is an historic church in downtown Charleston which is so beautiful. Stained glass and beautiful wood. A must see while in Charleston.
