Other reviewers said this aquarium is small, but we spent over 3 hours there. My 11 year old daughter loved it. We got there when they opened at 9, stayed until 11 then went on the Ft. Sumter tour next door, then came back after the Ft. Sumter tour for the 2 pm turtle hospital tour. The aquarium staff is... More

We spent a few hours at the Aquarium yesterday and found it very enjoyable and educational. We are scuba divers and lovers of all things fish so we never miss an opportunity when traveling to visit aquariums. This one had a huge circular tank a couple of stories high that contained larger species and could be viewed from several different... More

Was disappointed, was hoping for more, left feeling like, is that all there is for $25 a person? The staff was great, exhibits were limited.

Spent a couple hours here while waiting for the ferry to depart to Fort Sumter. It was a pleasant surprise as the collection of animals is extensive for the space the aquarium is in. Especially loved the main tank with so many varieties of sea life in it swimming together. The sea otter display was cute, watching them frolick in... More

A wonderful way to spend a couple of hrs in Charleston. This is truly a place that children will enjoy so much and there's so much to see and the children will like petting the stringrays and crabs.

Our family loved visiting the SC Aquarium. The staff really made it special for our children. They had several enrichment centers in their exhibits and were so friendly in answering any questions they had about the animals and sea life. We even spotted a few dolphins swimming near the aquarium on our way in!

The aquarium has a wonderful display of fish and sea life, but also showcases and cares for coastal birds from rehab programs that cannot be released into the wild again. Staff and volunteers were friendly and informative. A great experience.

Very nice displays, with some very unusual creatures. Since we are in the south, it's not just fish! Gators, birds, and snakes are also on display. Nice areas for feeding the rays, and petting the sharks. Really! Volunteer staff was excellent.

Have been there several years in a row with the Grandkids and parents! So much to see and do and everything is so organized. Lots of wonderful hands on touching the sting rays and other species. Love to just walk thru and listen to the excited kids and adults alike. A little expensive, but so worth it!

Very clean, nice exhibits, animals look well-cared for. My favorite was the Saltmarsh Aviary, where we watched a staffer feed the pelicans and other birds. Staffers were helpful and friendly. We (2 adults) spent a couple hours here. There were lots of activities for kids. A Sea Turtle Recovery Center is due to open later this year; would definitely return... More
