After a long day of shopping with the ladies on Kings Street, Marion Square was a great place to rest, eat a lunch and just appreciate an active part of downtown Charleston. There were four of us in our group. We spent about an hour...More

Nice park in the heart of Charleston. Lots of room for resting on the lawn and pets. Lots of families enjoying the sunshine while we were there. Great place to picnic. A weekend farmers market offered lots of fresh veggies.

We had beers at the Ale House across the street. Seems well used by the locals. Nice spot to get some green under your feet after a day of touring.

Walked around the square one evening, hotel was on one side and was a little intimidated to walk through the park. Glad I didnt the pan handlers on the outside along the sidewalk were many and they were somewhat aggressive.

We came here for the Saturday farmer's market. It is an excellent market, with many vendors and great options.

Great place to stretch your legs if you're in Charleston. People waking dogs relaxing etc... Named in honor of local revolutionary war hero.

Among this large, beautiful park with a statue of Calhoun I went searching the very moving Holocaust Memorial that is depicted with the use of a talit. It is close to the corner of Calhoun and Meeting.
