Cool visit to the military school. Amazing to see how disciplined the students are even in the way they walk around campus. There are tours you can get of the school, but at least drive around the quad and visit the nicely stocked bookstore.

My son was there with his girlfriend earlier and said we had to go. He drove us there. Very impressive, spacious. It was during Christmas break so no one was there, but they allow visitors. Great history.

We visited this military school and had a wonderful time. A lot of history behind these walls. Well worth stopping at.

Decided to swing by during a bike ride. Was pretty cool to see. I'm sure the experience would be even better if there was a tour to learn the history but it was a holiday week so pretty much a ghost town. Worth checking out if in the area.

My husband and I were just going to do a drive-through of the Citadel on a Sunday morning, but we saw people entering the church and decided to go in for the service. We weren't dressed as nicely as others as we hadn't planned on going to church, but we were warmly welcomed. What a beautiful service, watching the Cadets... More

We toured this college on a bus tour of the city, and learned about this college. Interesting facts about the college, like freshmen are required to walk in the gutter instead of on the sidewalk, and how important the training is when considering joining the military. We just had a taste of the college, and it would be nice to... More

This is an annual event for us. It is a wonderful service and starts our Christmas Season for us. We went to the Friday service this year and as for all of them...ARRIVE EARLY, at least an hour before the scheduled start if you want a seat. The Summerall Chapel is a beautiful place but the Christmas decorations are something... More

I was very impressed with the citadel and to learn of its purpose, history and firsts. The artifacts on the grounds made a great place to take photos.

If you have an opportunity to visit the Citadel, the history along is worth touring this campus. The architecture is nice, the proximity to the water/marsh makes for good photos and the commitment of the cadets is impressive.
