My husband and I were trying to escape a slight shower and found ourselves happily "lost" in the church gardens. We were too late to go inside. It had closed for the day, but enjoyed the romantic lil walk among low hanging trees, and bricked...More

We just took our time walking through the church cemetery. It has been purposely allowed to become overgrown with paths going to various places in the place. There is a wild beauty that draws you in. This is free to visit if the gates are...More

The ceiling is unforgettable and very beautiful and once you learn how it was constructed, it's jaw dropping. The Church yard is kept in it's natural state and graves go back to late 1700's abd plants from the 1830's.

Even in the heat of June, it is so cool to walk the little hidden ally off King street that cuts into the cemetery of the Unitarian church. The graveyard has a beauty in its overgrown plants. Inside the church do not miss the gorgeous...More

We love cemeteries (we're from Salem, MA -- we can't help it!) and this one is especially lovely. Lots of greenery and beauty all around.

Only visited the cemetery. The cemetery tour was part of a Ghost Tour. This cemetery, adhering to the traditions of Unitarians, is unkempt--allowed to grow wild and poorly tended. Yet there was an ambiance within the cemetery that was spell binding. Peaceful. A lovely experience.

If you're into this kind of thing, the gravestones make for some interesting reading, nice and shady on a warm sunlit day.

The church and it’s grounds are beautiful. If you can, try and visit when the church is open. Volunteers give tours and answer questions about the church September thru mid-June on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1:00 p.m and Sundays from 12:30 p.m. – 3:00...More

The church was closed but I primarily went for the gardens anyway. It is an oasis, very calming. There is a gateway on King Steet next to Domicile real estate.

Did not go inside the church, but there is a really cool cemetery behind it, You can get there via either the front of the church or from King Street. There is an alleyway from there. Was able to take really interesting pictures of this...More
