This was on the top of my list to see when we planned our Charleston trip. The response I hear from most people is they are "underwhelmed" by seeing this, most thought colors would be more vibrant or something magical. I have learned in my...More

This is a cute area with really beautiful homes all different colors. I recommend taking a walk over here in the afternoon to check it out.

A nice walk from Riley Waterfront Park to see the row of rainbow pastel colored homes. There is not much to do once you are there - took some pictures of the homes and continued our downtown walk!

Rainbow row is an iconic Charleston attraction. So it would be a shame if your visit did not include a stroll to see. Only takes a few minutes to see so be sure to include on your itinerary.

On the bus loaded with tourists it was hard to see. I wish we had returned for a leisurely walk along the street. The houses are not open to tourists.

Rainbow Row consists of a row of houses painted in many different colors. We walked past them as we were strolling through the downtown area. It was a pretty part of the town, and worth a short detour to see them.

There is only about 5-8 homes that make up Rainbow Row, but it is surrounded by a lot of other great architectural home and buildings. This is a great section of old Charleston that is very nice to walk or bike around.
