The Slavery to Freedom Tour- that one hour- is life-changing. I returned home and shared snippets about it with a colleague and for him, it was life-changing. I tell myself that I have a bad memory but I am able to recall almost every detail. The guide is a vivid hi-storyteller who recounts the plight of Africans in America with... More

We had a very good driver and a very nice big horse (Dakota). The horse new the route well, which allowed the driver to face the passenger when telling us all about the history of the area, and more. The tour was an hour, and I could have gone on for another hour as I found it very interesting.

Excellent informative carriage ride. Eric our guide knew the history of Charleston and was an excellent presenter. We were with friends from Nevada and California and other all enjoyed the carriage ride. We made prior reservations but it's possible tourists could come to the company's headquarters and arrange a tour. The carriage rides are being questioned for animal rights violations... More

We took the Slavery to Freedom tour given by Matt. We found him knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot about the early history of South Carolina; things we never learned in school. He also recommended books that we could read to learn more. He was passionate about the topic. All in all; a great tour! BTW Elwood (the horse)... More

Hal our guide was funny and very informative. Jackson our horse was gentle and a hard working guy - all around great tour - we would for sure book again - I'd like to check out the Slavery Tour or the Civil War Tour when we are back in the fall. Thanks to Hal and Jackson

I am kicking myself for not getting the name of the guide! He deserved an accolade for a job well done. The horses name is "Elwood" and no one could complain about his either! The guide was extremely informative and personable. We couldn't get enough of the Civil war era homes and he pointed out features that we might not... More

Booked the carriage ride online based on others reviews. So enjoyed and highly recommend. Informative and suggested other areas of interest along with restaurants in the area.

We took the carriage ride on our first full day in the city and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would suggest that the people who load the carriages always check the times on the tickets so that people don't hop on the wrong one and have to get back off which happened to an older couple who mistakenly got on our...
