We took a tour with classic carriage works and it was awesome. Our guide(Todd) did an excellent job. He knew his history of the area and let us pick how the tour went with the questions we asked. It's worth the money and the hour tour. Plus our horse Carson minded really well.

We were lucky to have the number 1 carriage driver and guide for our tour. The number of carriages are limited on the street at any one time, and there are several routes to spread them out, rather that all going to the same places. Routes are assigned after you are on board, so it is a surprise where you... More

I went up to Charleston, for a few hours, from Savannah (2hr drive). So this 1hr tour fit right in after strolling the City Market. Our tour guide, I think it was Matt, filled the complete hour with info. Our horse, Bill, was absolutely gorgeous and spunky for a 13yr old!!

We took a carriage tour after we had been in Charleston for 3 days and had walked around a lot. Thank goodness for that. Carriage tours are told where they go by the city to keep traffic moving, so we ended up in an area that wasn't really full of the historical things we had read about before we came.... More

Daughter Kelly and I rode in a green carriage pulled by a draft horse around historic Charleston. Our driver graciously explained the downtown history--slavery, cobbled stones were ballast in sailing ships that docked at Charleston, homes with one room on each floor, etc. At the end of the ride we watched while the horse was given water, food, washed down,... Our party of 3 girls thoroughly enjoyed our carriage tour with Todd and Carson to start off our girl's weekend. This was a very interesting and a beautiful way to see the sights in a leisurely fashion. Todd was very knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating! We would try to ask for this tour guide again and Carson was a beautiful (apparently... More
