I appreciated the honesty of our guide, John Polk. He did not whitewash the history of Charleston, very refreshing to get truthful insight from a native Son.

We didn't have a lot of time in Charleston, so we took a carriage ride to view the historic district. Unfortunately, because of city ordinances, your route in the district is chosen randomly so you only get to see certain spots. But, it was enough...More

The tour route we were assigned was BORING! We didn't get to see much and its how we drove into town so we had seen it all already- a jail and a house Oprah almost bought was the highlights. No gardens/fountains, etc. It was difficult...More
