Gorgeous bridge, amazingly high!

We last came to Charleston when they were building this bridge so it was nice to visit and see it finished. It's gorgeous and HUGE.

On a beautiful sunny winter day, the bridge provided a nice change of scenery for my morning walk. The path up from the Memorial Waterfront Park in Mount Pleasant was a good starting point.

We arrived in Charleston, grabbed some lunch then set out to walk the bridge. So glad we did. Got to enjoy beautiful scenery as well as some exercise. Definitely recommend for anyone. We walked from Mt. Pleasant side of Bridge to Charleston. We grabbed a ride back to car after rewarding ourselves with some beverages of our choice at a... More

On our drive from Myrtle Beach to visit Charleston, we had to cross over the Cooper River. Wow, what an impressive cable-stayed bridge this is! This is an 8-lane bridge, and the traffic moves rather swiftly. I had read that the bridge has a main span of 1,546 feet. It is the third longest among cable-stayed bridges in the Western... More

the bridge has a1st ; Longest suspension bridge. Diamond shape stations are unique and great looking leading into or out of town. Wide lanes makes it a pleasure to drive. You will have to research the name on your own.

Went for a walk the first night in town and spent some time here under the bridge. Nice safe area day or night.

This is a "MUST DO" when in Charleston, SC. The view is absolutely stunning! Watched cargo ships, a cruise ship, container ships, a group of 20 sail boats that looked like toys from the bridge height, etc. The grade of the walkway is around 3-4%, walk at a comfortable pace. There is a lane for walkers & joggers and another... More

Wanted to walk bridge last year but injured foot. Finally had the chance to walk it yesterday with friends. We walked from mount pleasant to the ramp going into charleston and back. (5mi.) the view was breath taking. Cargo ships going by and many small vessels out for a sail. You could see the charleston harbor on one side and... More
