My husband and I took a leisurely stroll mid-morning on a weekday. It was very peaceful and not crowded at all. Lots of benches, green space, and overlooks of the river. All kinds of water birds and turtles to see. Plaques describing the area, it's...More

Needed a place for daughters to run (high school athletes) while on vacation. Arrived here just before sunset to discover a beautiful park with a great walk/run/bike path along the canal/river. Saw lots of other runners, which gave us the impression it is safe, as...More

We stopped by for a short visit and enjoyed walking along the path, stopping at the fitness park, crossing the bridge, touring the canal house building, and going down by the river. There were these beautiful red doors that made for an amazing photo opportunity....More

The original hydroelectric generating station is still there, (not operational) open for viewing. Leading from the generating station is...More

I love to run here and always feel safe because there are so many people around. It's beautiful and has places to sit on the side of the trail to enjoy the view.

The Canal and Riverfront is a great place to go for a run. Also, it was nice to go and see the Canal and sit a reflect.

We had a beautiful walk along the river and canal. The path is paved, flat, and wide. There were quite a few other folks out walking. I imagine it is even more beautiful in the spring when the leaves are out. We will certainly make...More

The canal is not all that dramatic, but the toe path has been paved so a great place for a very pleasant walk, run or bike ride.
