The costume exhibit of items used in various movies was a great presentation; however the parking garage designated by the museum needs more signage as to where to park. One expects to have a ticket upon entrance. This garage is confusing.

If you have seen really great art museums you will probably be disappointed. I went for a special exhibit but would probably not go back for the museum itself.

Once in a while they have a great exhibit...but, they have some pretty mediocre ones too....check what's up before investing your time...if you catch a gem it's well worth it.

This museum has a little of everything: paintings, photos, archeological finds of pottery, modern vases, modernistic glass work, beautiful lamps, furniture, etc. The origin of these objects is also quite varied. So whatever you fancy, you may find something of interest here. What I found most captivating was the temporary exhibition with photos by J Henry Fair, called "Eyes on... More

"It Was Brain Food to Me" I went on a Saturday and took a tour. I loved it. I paid $12 for entrance, but they do provide discounts for students and seniors. There are several exhibits to peruse and explore. If you can take a tour so you can be informed or ask questions.

There is always a reason to visit the CMA: Varied exhibits, educational events, music series, the annual gala. The list goes on and on. Recognized with awards statewide and nationally for its excellence, this is a must-see.

This is a wonderful museum with great emphasis on community connections and the artistic community in the state of South Carolina. I'm proud to be a member and am getting exposure to a variety of arts (visual, musical, and written) through the events that take place at the museum.

As others have said, the museum has a very good variety but for me the best thing they do is the limited showings. The curator brings in some really interesting exhibits that seem to always make an impact. While the museum is not real big it is well done and a great place to visit. As members, we visit every... One of the best local museums we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. We have been to many locations around the States. This beautiful location is, modern, brightly lit and full of treasures for every appetite.
