We took the plantation tour and it was really nice. Our boat captain was funny and made us feel like we were family instead of just tourists. The tour of the plantation was really nice also.

We did the Rover last year so this year tried Cap'n Rod's. They are both good but his is slightly better and here's why. First, Cap'n Rod himself, very knowledgable about the area and also very funny. Second, bigger boat, more comfortable and more stable in choppy water. Wildlife viewing is a crapshoot, we saw nothing this year or last... More

My son scheduled the tour for the family (6 adults and 1 child). Captain Rod asked would we like a private tour for just our family. He gave us a 4 hour tour and was wonderful. We all enjoyed the tour so much and Captain Rod was our kind of people. Funny and very friendly plus really knows his history!... More

Well worth the money. Cap'n Doug was great. We saw alligators, stingrays, and starfish. Our caption was very knowledgeable about the area. Shell island was beautiful and we found tons of shells. You want regret going on this tour. My family and I will go back.

Excellent trip! Captain Rod was so entertaining and interesting! He was so knowledgeable about the low country! The boat was clean and comfortable! The crew was very friendly! The time on the island was just long enough to gather shells! Bring suntan lotion, bug spray & bags to collect shells. We saw dolphins and alligators too! Simple refreshments are available... More

Thought this would be a hot, boring day. It was totally the opposite! Cap'n Rod is a wealth of information...he seems to know everything about the SC Low Country, and tells it as he illustrates much of it during the boat ride. He is very witty and exudes southern hospitality. I had no idea there was so much interesting history... More
