Good course, cheap greens fees

This is a great value; about $20 bucks to walk around in the middle of day off season. Overall the course was in pretty good shape. Nice old trees line most fairways. Its a pretty... read more

Old course. Greens not healed from recent aeration. Full price as far as I can see.Pointed out the only guy on the putting green as someone to do the round with. Introduced myself. After his confusion wore off, he said he was in a tournament and maybe it was the guy driving down the fairway. Caught the guy a few... More

The senior rate during the week was $30,00 for a long time and then they got a new course manager from a private course in Florida. The rate is now $40.00 during the week for seniors. The increase is outrageous with the only improvement being that they paved some of the cart paths. A $10.00 increase is entirely too much... More

Furman Golf course is located on the backside of the University campus. At this time rates were some of the most expensive in the area for daily fee courses, Rates w/cart were $48 weekday, $56 weekend. Pro shop and on course personnel were helpful and friendly. The practice area is very large, however it appears that only a small area... More

This is a great value; about $20 bucks to walk around in the middle of day off season. Overall the course was in pretty good shape. Nice old trees line most fairways. Its a pretty short course, really, but the greens are fast, and the elevated greens often have false fronts. Its a nice stroll if you're into walking, which... More

Great layout in excellent condition! You will not be disappointed. Staff was extremely friendly and the pace of play was adequate. Greens were quick and fairways were plush.

A very nice course with some great history. Some of the best players in the history of golf went to Furman and played here... especially the ladies. The course is challenging, well maintained and fun to play. The club house is not much... I was surprised by it.

Didn't visit the golf club but toured the campus. The grounds are beautifu and well maintained. The campus itself is sprawling with its own lake. The buildings exude Southern charm. You can spend a pleasant 1-2 hours here just walking through the grounds. There is also a good Barnes and Noble coffee shop along with the campus store.

The course at Furman was in immaculate condiitions with lightning fast, true greens. We played on Nov. 24 at our expectations were exceeded. Fees were $43 including cart. Reception was hospitable and the grill was adequate. This course is the home of Dottie Pepper and Brad Faxon and a dozen other pro golfers. They must have loved playing here because... More

Not the most challenging course layout, but a enjoyable course accessible to many skill levels. Well kept and not usually difficult to get a tee time.
