I came to Greenville with my 70+ year old father and we wanted to go out for an easy bike ride. Everything seemed to indicate that this trail was both beautiful and an easy ride in the city. We started by parking at the YMCA and trying to head into the downtown area on the trail. It was only 1.5... More

We picked up the trail near Falls Park downtown and it was pretty urban for part of our walk. It did get more rural as we headed away from town and it's a great place to walk or ride a bike. The trail would be improved with some restrooms (you pretty much have to find a business to use), trash... More

The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a great way for a long walk, or riding a bycicle Bycicle rentals are available in many areas of the trail. I would google a map of the trail, to see what part of the trail, you'd like to do.

The swamp rabbit trail is a local gem. Almost 500,000 visitors per year. Scenic views on a paved trail that winds through Cleveland park and zoo, through downtown Greenville and falls park and up to travelers rest. Whether walking, running or cycling the trail you will enjoy the scenery and stops along the way. Great for families and kids or... More

Great venue for your recreational activities. Walk, run or bike. Start in Greenville and bike to Travelers Rest where you can enjoy a meal at Williams Hardware or crepes at the Tandem. No wrong choice. Note that on weekends it can get crowded so don't rush it and use good judgement to stay safe.

Is a very long trail perfect for sports outdoor, family friendly, surrounded by communities but still with a sensation that you are in the forest, you can also see old factories, i think is a very pretty landscape, they have stations with maps, some standard tools for most of the bikes and water. They only think i dislike is the... More

We use the trail frequently! We have young kids and sometime we take them to let them ride their tricycles and bikes on the trail and then stop in travelers rest for some ice cream or dinner. I've also completed the swamp rabbit half marathon that goes from Travelers Rest all the way to Downtown Greenville. That was a great... More

I've bicycled along the Swamp Rabbit Trail (SRT) with my family for years while they were children and we typically had ridden from downtown Greenville (near the Children's Park) all the way up to Furman University which has public restrooms to use and can ride around the lake. This would be my turnaround point and my husband would continue riding... More

We started at the Swamp rabbit cafe and went to Travelers Rest. A little uphill ride but not bad. Many bikers and joggers along trail. Trail path is two way and not really enough space to ride side by side. It crosses a couple of highways so be watchful. We then went back towards town and stopped at The falls... More
