Just played this course and found the layout below average for Dye, average for a resort course. Conditions were just above average for courses in general, below average for the price. I really found nothing remarkable about the course, its not particularly difficult nor visually appealing. Really just average and WAY overpriced. Compared to the courses on the RTJ trail,... More

Friend and I played this beautiful and well manicured course towards the end of March. Weather was perfect as were the tee boxes and fairways and greens. The practice areas were well marked and very well manicured also. On course personnel were quite helpful. Judging by parking lot, course was jammed but our group moved right along and we never... Beautiful golf course but a bit pricey. It is very well maintained with a lovely club house and a nice configuration of holes.

Staff was friendly and course was in great shape. Beverage cart started at 0900 and we teed off at 0745. Did not see the cart until the 10th fairway but we're already close to halfway house for what we needed. Did not see the cart again until the 17th fairway. We weren't playing at a face pace either and being... More

I read the post regarding the service at heron point. I have played there numerous times and always the service is spot on. They are most attentive to the customer. The golf course is in tremendous condition. 👍

A few of us came down a for a guys golf trip. We played several golf courses on the island and were excited about playing Heron Point. As we walked into the pro shop we were ignored until we got up to the counter. Not even offered help as we looked around at merchandise. The golf course was in great... More

We enjoyed a nice 4 hour round on Heron Point in July. The experience is what you expect for $165. The driving range is ample and a bag of calls is included in your greens fee. This course has all the usual features of a Dye course: mounding, forced carries, railroad ties, waste bunkers on the side of the fairways... More

I was concerned about playing Heron Point as its a Pete Dye designed course which are always difficult for me. This layout proved to be tough but fair and very enjoyable. Nice starter and range attendants and the new club house is incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed.

A first class experience from start to finish. Every employee we encountered along the way -- and there were MANY there to help -- was very pleasant and helpful. The course itself was in very good shape, including some very challenging soft fluffy sand. There were five sets of tees, plus a set of family tees that were for young... More

Thank you for your review of Heron Point by Pete Dye. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed your recent experience on our course! Nothing short of a modern masterpiece, this course is complete with well-defined holes, plenty of movement in the fairways and Dye's ubiquitous mounding and swales framing target areas.
