We are visiting from out of state and found this place... we're so glad we decided to go into sea pines (and pay the $6 gate fee for sea pines) to come here. The petting area was great for our 2+ year old and so was the pony ride. This was definitely a great activity on Hilton Head Island to... More

My stepdaughter and I went on a trail ride last week. Even though she has ridden before, she is not that confident in her abilities to control the horse. Her horse was heading towards water and she got scared and jumped off. I want to thank Eli, our leader, as he helped get her get back on the horse. Then... More

We've visited Hilton Head for many years and each year stop at the Lawton stables to pet the horses and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. This year I decided to go riding and it was an experience to cherish. We rode at a relaxed pace through the Sea Pines preserve for an hour. The horses are well-cared for, impeccable trained and... Love this place, my daughter which is 5 loves the poney rides which Run $10 each. They are sweet and gentle ponies. Plus the petting farm with goats, donkeys and llamas was also a hit. I would highly recommend this place for young families. They do have trail riding available but I did not go on it.

What a great way to spend a few hours in sea Pines if not on the back of a horse who could probably follow the others and find his way back if you simply dropped the reins. Reservations are the way to go (we did it online) as it will speed things up when you arrive, which should be at... More

We try to go riding every year while we're in Hilton Head. Lawton Stables is a wonderful place. Their horses are well cared for and very gentle. They have horses of all sizes to accommodate persons of all ages and most sizes (they have a 250 pound weight limit, and children must be 8 years or older for the trail... More

Being the horse enthusiast that I am I was very happy when I found out Hilton Head had a stable you could ride at, it's one of my favorite things to do when on vacation and it is available. The staff are so kind and friendly not to mention helpful. If this place could get a 10 star rating it... More

This was our families first time going to the stables. The children had an awesome time! We love that you do not have to really pay much just to stop by and say hey. That makes me want to spend money to be honest! The pony rides for the little ones are only ten dollars so you cannot go wrong.... More

This is great fun and it's free. You let yourself in and out - just lock the gate. There's now a baby deer, goats, cows, alpacas, chickens, a pig, and horses. You can have birthday parties there. It's very peaceful and pretty on property.

We were spending the day in Sea Pines and stopped here in the morning. We did not ride but enjoyed seeing the horses and petting zoo. Harlan the Clydesdale greeted us and Callie the deer could not have been friendlier. Goats, pigs, cows rounded out the group. Cute gift shop with something for everyone.
