We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath apartment. It was pleasant but not exceptional. If you are expecting to be within sight or even walking distance of "the ocean" you are in for a surprise. Whiue part of the golf course is on the ocean the accommodation is way back from it - check a map!

The company, Palmetto Dunes Ocean Resort, rents out various condos and houses from its HQ at the entrance to PD. We rented a condo in Captains Walk which was surrounded by hurricane repair and reconstruction. We had been told absolutely nothing about these repairs, removal of compressors on the roof, constant hammering, roof repairs, crew needing to come into our... More

Over the weekend a couple of coworkers and myself made the drive from Augusta, GA to get in some beach front golf. We found out about the ocean course at Palmetto Dunes, when we arrived we were greeted by Jordan in the pro shop who went out of his way to help with the many questions we had about the... More

The beaches in Palmetto Dunes have all been rejuvenated. They are just beautiful and now it is hard to tell between high tide and low tide. It is still great to walk, lounge or bicycle. The winter season is one of Hilton Head's best kept secrets. Prices are down, weather is always mild, no snow and activities galor. I almost... More

The best lesson I've ever taken was with the Jones course golf pro, Doug Weaver. I took the three hour clinic and learned a ton. Doug is a truly knowledgeable instructor who reviewed and advised me on every part of my game. He gave simple and clear explanations and recommended numerous drills. The clinic is a steal for $99. If... More

My family consisting of 20 visited Hilton Head August of 2016. All of the children, grandchildren and my husband and I stayed in Hilton Head for four days. We rented a Villa with 5 bedrooms. The trip was amazingly enjoyable. The togetherness is what made it important. There is nothing like family!

We played pickle ball at the new pickle ball courts located at the tennis facility. The facility/courts are fantastic. The clubhouse had lots of pickle ball equipment for sale or rent, court rental was very reasonable and all of the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful, especially Mark, who helped us tremendously, as we are... We found the perfect villa in St Andrews Common for our vacation on HHI. Although the hurricane cleanup and construction (road paving) caused a bit of congestion and noise, it was still paradise. We weren't able to golf the courses (they are closed until Dec 2 due to hurricane), but we enjoyed everything else PD has to offer! We biked... More

We booked our trip through Vacation Company and they are the best. We travel to Hilton Head usually twice a year. This trip we used Vacation Company and I must say they are the best so far. Their service, the cleanliness of our condo, the ease of check in and check out, the promptness to answering our questions - everything... More
