Quick stop but worth it

Was a quick stop that caught my eye. very interesting if you read all the displays. Doesn't take long to see so worth a quick stop.

This memorial is very nice. It features a submarine buried in the ground with a nice path winding around it. It is worth a stop, but I wouldn't make it a priority on your trip.

A full-sized submarine, submerging in..... a field of grass??? Free exhibit....This caught my attention, by the ball field of the University of Charleston, in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The multiple plaques and explanatory pieces about the submarine corps of the Cold War era was fascinating.

Again, one of those sights that if you have any interest in either history or military - this is where to visit. You just can't beat the experience of Patriots Point.

if you are on Patriots Point, you must stop for 15 minutes to see this memorial to the submarines of the Cold War. Very interesting... good history lesson and very meaningful.

A very good monument to those that served this country during that time, Lot of hardships and family separation, it was a Dangerous time and mission. Needs more upkeep by Patriots Point, ie the grass cut and trimmed, the bushes trimmed.

This was a nice memorial. This was a little farther away from the attraction than I would have expected it to be.

Having served on submarines in the US Navy during this time the memorial brought back many memories of people, places and events. I think it I a place for all to visit and reflect on what was and how we can preclude a repeat of those times. A visit for the young is very much recommended.

This is across from the entrance to Patriots Point. It is not much to see, but good for a drive by. 10 minutes spent at most.
