Enjoyable and doable by kids of all ages! Walk over and peer down into the marsh, view many varieties of birds, or sometimes spot passing dolphins. You also get a fairly close up look at the fishing/shrimping boat fleet here.

This is an amazing place to stroll for an hour or so, especially after an afternoon meal at one of the adjacent Shem's Creek restaurants. It's an elevated boardwalk that curves out along the salt marsh and water. It's especially pleasant because you are not walking out in a straight line. Dogs are welcome, it's free, there are comfort stations... More

Well constructed and maintained boardwalks over the marsh along Shem Creek with informational posters along the way about the history of the area and the environment. Several people were fishing from the boardwalk. Fun watching boaters, kayakers and shrimpers. Free parking and well kept bathrooms available.

We went very early on a Saturday morning. So we didn't get to see any dolphin or fishermen in action. Ok for a nice short walk

We enjoyed the morning walk so much we returned later in the day. The boardwalk offers nice views of the wetlands with the harbor and the Cooper River bridge in the distance. Got some great photos of water birds, including one of Henry. He's a friendly large Egret who hangs around waiting for someone to toss him a bait fish... More

Our family frequents this park. Why? It's on Shem Creek, we view the shrimp boats, dolphin, pleasure boats, kayakers, tourists & we support the restaurants. If you come around sunset there's another bonus. It's beautiful scenery, a great walk on the pier which has been extended to the shrimp boats & restaurants. A pleasant visit with family or friends is... More

Park at the public park location just across the bridge, and you'll have a nice walk along historic Shem Creek to be able to see the (still active) Shrimp boats, and also the lovely houses off in the distance. There are many benches along the path (which is virtually all boardwalk) -- and two pavilions. You can also fish/crab from... More

This small park is easy to get to, right beside Water's Edge restaurant. The board walks are good for walking, jogging or fishing. Nice spot to visit.
