Nice place to get a view of the creek. Family friendly in every way.

Great place to walk and view the marsh and creek. Good animal spotting. You can fish at the end. Fun place for a picnic with the family.

The boardwalk and scenery from it were most welcome after a nice meal next door. The boardwalk is in excellent condition. We enjoyed watching people fishing, and one small boy getting excited at his catch of a red fish. We were excited ourselves when we saw a dolphin. Very relaxing. So nice that this is here.

Small parking lot that can be overlooked with all the other businesses nearby. Very nice walk on trails and a boardwalk through the tidal area right down to the dock on Shem Creek. Along the way you can watch the coastal wildlife. Once at the dock you can watch the human traffic on the creek, and if you're lucky you'll... More

I arrived mid morning on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. Shem Creek Park was uncrowded and the pier doted with fishermen. I was lucky to see a fisherman hook a rather large fish and as he was reeling it up to the railing, the fish was lucky enough to wiggle free and drop back into the water. Good experience for me... Nice way to walk around the creek area and take in the view. It's very easy to get around with a group of mixed age. Just another beautiful place in the greater Charleston districts.

This is a boardwalk along the wet lands. Maybe a mile if you do the entire walk with the side extensions. The walk along the creek is usually a good place to see porpoises though we had no luck this time. But just looking over into the marshes... the birds, crabs and little fish is enough. People fish and put... More

What a beautiful location in old town Mt Pleasant. Great place to see nature, the water, and people watch. You can always see shrimp boats tied up dockside, with stand up paddle boards and kayaks dodging the small craft transiting the creek. Nice place to go anytime, but especially at the end of the day.

I went to Shem Creek Park with my mom after a court win. We parked in the front and walked all the way down the boardwalk. There was plenty of marshgrass and marsh, and salt water and boats and birds and even hermit crabs. We walked to a little island where the boardwalk trail splits into two directions on a... More

Little tricky to find- not well marked but well worth a visit. The extensive boardwalk is perfect for a walk out through the salt marshes for great views of the wild life and the area. Lots of folks fishing and crabbing. Saw dolphins in the channel area. Benches and some shade so you can just sit and enjoy nature. Convenient... More
