We ALWAYS stop here when passing through. FREE! Informative. Large enough grounds to walk 500+meters through pastures, waterside jungle and a boardwalk overlooking the tidal waterways. Practically across the street from Boone Hall, but no cost and lots of history + a movie. Covered pick...More

Great little quick stop for history lovers. The house is a pretty cottage with inviting chairs on the front porch. Nice artifacts and quick history lesson inside. The trees and Spanish moss on the outside make the property!

Well kept grounds. Short video was very educational. Spend at least an hour here. The ranger talk was very informative. Nice to sit on the porch and look out on the scenery.

Nice National Historic Site. A look into the life of one of the men who was instrumental in the Constitution of the United States. Informational and a look into another time in our country

This historic site is well done, free of charge and a nice stop. A very influential man in SC but not well known. You can take a picnic and enjoy the grounds. Something other than the usual Charleston tourist stops to visit.
