In addition to a great oceanfront beach and facilities, Atalaya is historically interesting, so it was nice to attend their fundraising event. Excellent artists, artisans and craftspersons selling their wares! Beautiful, interesting, provocative!

Beautiful beach. Lots to see and do. Tour the home of sculptor Anna Huntington as her sculpture can be found at Brookhaven Gardens.

Huntington State Park is a lovely place. The beach is beautiful and clean. I've popped in for a relatively quick, end of the day walk on the beach to decompress. You could bring a picnic, or cook on one of the grills they have there,...More

First rode bikes throughout the park and campground. Looks like most camp sites were shaded and had water and electric hookups, and the campground had access paths to the beach. A campground I would bring the travel trailer to. Saw a lot of diverse wildlife...More

My husband and I are new to RVing. Huntington Beach was our second destination. I can't imagine finding a campground that rivals HB. The first interaction with the staff set the bar. They were upbeat ( despite the on-coming storm Irma) and obviously enjoyed meeting...More

We had an awesome time at the Huntington Beach State Park! It was so open, and not crowded. It was nice to hang out on the beach and not have the hotels to look at!! Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful beach! Great access! Was very busy on Labor Day but plenty of room for everyone ! Plenty of parking, gift shop, restrooms, picnic areas. Nice wide beach and dogs are allowed on certain parts of the beaches. Great family beach.

My husband and I camp here at least every two years. We love the campground and the huge campsites. The dedicated beach is so beautiful and never crowded. The marsh and the bird watching is beautiful. There is also an alligator cross over that is...More

The beach was clean and expansive. We went and visited the Atalaya castle, also, which was interesting and well worth the small admission price. Nice grounds and plenty of parking.

We came in via 95 to 501 through Myrtle beach. There is an avis/budget at a sears auto center 501 and 17 bypass road. Easy drive up location for the camper took the car and went down 17 to the park from there. Very... More

According to the park rangers they are separate from the guests in the marshland. We were worried about that too but never seen one on the beach. The beach is like a mile from the marshland separated by a strip of land. I... More

The alligators can be seen anytime, they particularly like to 'sun' themselves out on the tiny island. A good location for viewing is on the overlook.
