I thought this would be a nice cultural gesture while we were in Myrtle Beach. I didn’t realize I would enjoy the exhibits as much as I did. Exhibits change every few months. There are stairs, but there is elevator access. A sunroom – tearoom provides ocean views.

The Museum is an interesting conversion of a nice raised 2 story home and addition and is quite close to the Atlantic Ocean and the Myrtle Beach airport. Facilities include several small galleries a teaching area and a gallery store. They have changing local shows as well as national recognized artists. They also offer classes and are very involved in... More

As good as this museum is, their special events make it even better. Their latest was a talk by Vivian R. Jacobson on "Marc Chagall and the Paris Opera Ceiling." Not only was the talk itself both interesting and enlightening but the fact that Mrs. Jacobson knew and interacted with Marc Chagall brought an added dimension that one rarely obtains... More

I stop in the museum about once a month to see what new art and artists they have on display. They have a lovely tea room that will make your art museum tour even more pleasing.

Have visited with artist friends who had an exhibit and several other times. The artwork is exhibited beautifully in this historic house.

I have attended two showings at the Burroughs and Chapin Art Museum and they both were very professionally run. The event coordinator did a fine job in arranging the displays and spread out the areas where many would congregate at one time, such as a bar. This is definitely a great way to spend a hot afternoon or a cool... More

A great find by the beach. Wonderful exhibits. A fabulous gift shop too! The museum is free but they ask for a small donation.
