A small but good zoo and worth a half a day trip if you have kids.

Title should say it all. Just spend a half a day at the most. Kids will love it. Not something I would want to do twice... but a decent fun half day it is. Its a small zoo.

Ok first of all I grew up here first zoo I had ever gone to. That being said I came here when I was 9yrs old for a school trip and I thought the animals looked sad the place looked horrible I'm now 22 and took my nephew here for a nice little day trip for whatever reason I thought... More

My husband and I were super disappointed. We saw zoo and figured it would be nice. It was a run down family owned place. Saw goats, small camel, pig and some birds. Nothing wonderful. Park had tons of roots and Buildings looked gross.

We come to the Zoo every year and enjoy the animals. The staff are friendly and care a lot about their animals. This is a great place to bring the family.

This zoo is not out there to compete the the Columbia size attraction. That being said it is super close and makes for a fun activity to break up the trips to the beach without having to drive very far. Very affordable to take the entire family.

The only reason I'm rating this at 1 is because I'm not able to give it a ZERO! I visited this place they call a zoo...coming from Philadelphia where the zoo is impeccable and the animals are well cared for, I was mortified at the filth of the gift shop and how dirty the animals are as well as the... Stopped in on a whim. Great staff, good selection of animals for a private zoo. Definitely will go back with the grandkids. Don't forget to buy peanuts to feed the animals!

A lot of people don't realize this zoo takes in and rehabilitates sick animals and those that could not otherwise survive in the wild. I love their work.

SOME animals live in bad conditions. Mainly the carnivores: two tigers in a small cage, two lions in a similar cage, a lonely cougar and a couple of black bears. If the aforementioned animals weren't sleeping, they were pacing back and forth. It broke my heart a little. Every other animal has a lot of room and social interaction. This... More

We planned on going to see how horrible the conditions of the animals were but found that the price was simply out of our budget range. We arrived with less than an hour till they closed and was still expected to pay full price $12 per person
