I have always wanted to see Lake Jocassee. This park might be one of the best public ways to experience it. The boat ramp is accessible and there are many places to camp. The park also rents cabins right on the water that are very nice with thier own doc and beach. There are beautiful falls you can boat to.... More

The land and lake (nature) are awesome. The grounds are up kept nice. But the restrooms (facilities) are deplorable. There was one car in the parking lot. So very slow for this time of year. So so reason for things should not be clean. NASTY is all I have to say.

One of the great destination camping spots in South Carolina! We tent camped (primative with no electricity or water at our site) right on the lake in #14. The view was incredible! We could walk down a slope to the lake, kept our kayaks right there. One night we put our jet ski on the beach, but Saturday morning when... More

We went the weekend of October 14th, days after Hurricane Matthew came through SC/NC and were a little nervous, but extremely pleased they were far enough from the coast, they didn't receive any damage! The camps were very well kept, bathrooms as well, and it was a sold out weekend! Great views, friendly staff, plenty to do right in the... More

If you get a chance to tour the lake and visit the many waterfalls, take it. This is a mostly undeveloped shoreline, and Devils Fork is the main boat access. However, it has a nice, large beach area and plenty of facilities if you just want a day at the lake. The whole park is surrounded by foothills, and the... More

A friend and I went camping here the weekend of Saturday, Sep. 30, 2016! It was our first time in kayaks. So we was nervous to say the least. We arrived and the park was very accommodating! We boated in at stayed at B011 on the island! It was incredible! We enjoyed every min of it. The water is super... More

You can hike, boat, swim, or more in Devil's fork. There are bathroom facilities near the swimming area. You can rent kayaks or boats as well. The main ramp is where you would launch most boats but ther are a couple of more places up the lake a bit as well. They have a non-motored launch area. If you are doing... More

Went in the two mile hike. Lots of roots but a easy hike. Well marked and easy. We had a 9 year old with us. Not much of a lake view but lots of woods. Need to have bug spray. Have done it before will go again.
