This beautiful urban oasis was built through the dedicated efforts of hardworking volunteers who put their hearts into designing and building a serene place of quiet beauty. The gardens are exquisitely designed to be lovely in every season. In January, camellias were blooming riotously. Never crowded, always peaceful, it's a great place to spend an hour in quiet contemplation of... More

This is a wonderful place to relax, meditate, bring children, enjoy nature or take a stroll. The path is paved and has plenty of shade if needed.

What a refreshing and wonderful outdoor sanctuary right in the middle of Spartanburg neighborhoods. The plants are well marked and maintained. Many volunteers keep the grounds clean and nice. There is a paved path throughout the park so wheelchairs and strollers can enjoy the surroundings. The park is small enough to walk through in 15 min., but so peaceful and... More

Hatcher Gardens is a very special place located in the city's west side in a residential area. I was very fortunate to meet Mr. Hatcher whilst he was still alive (20+ years ago) and loved to help garden. After he passed and it became a Park it only became more established and much more unique. This is a fantastic place... More

This is a nature lovers paradise! It is a planned garden that doesn't seem to be. It is peaceful and boasts a huge selection of plants native to SC and beyond. The foilage, flowers, and wildlife are a thrill. This is also an awesome place for schools to take field trips as they have educational tours appropriate for students of... More

Hatton Gardens located on the west side of Spartanburg is just beautiful Albreit small. There is a water feature going throughout the property and a beautiful Trail going over bridges that showcase the greenery. A great place for a stroll or a picnic at the picnic tables that are provided!

Decent little place to go for a walk and have a chat. Also seems to be very popular for photography. Makes you forget you are in the idle of the city . Fall is the best time to go. Have been several times now. Would be nice if they charged $1 (honor box) per person so they could better maintain... More

Great place to escape for a picnic lunch, or just to walk around the grounds. Close to downtown and no parking problems.

It has paved paths, but plenty of nature on all sides. Has benches, gazebo, wooden bridges, bird feeders, water areas, and some art work. Also has nice parking lot.

Thank Tammie J
