Nice State Park

I hike at Croft State Park frequently. The trails are not as challenging as the mountains but I don't have to drive an hour to get to them either. Fairforest Creek is very scenic as are Lake Johnson and Lake Craig. Croft is geared more towards horseback riders and mountain bikers than anything else. But I like it too.

We have used Croft State Park quite a lot and have always had a great time and have always been treated very very well and. They go out of there way to make sure you have a great time. I would recommend this park to anyone and you will not regret it at all.

It was so nice and wonderful with different trails to go on , and the river is beautiful . Great camping spots with trails down to the river . Great place to take my dog , who enjoys himself every time he gets to go .

Croft State Park has many different activities! We have taken our horses & camped for a long weekend & enjoyed it immensely. Our Husbands enjoyed fishing while we ladies rode our horses. We all met back @ the campsite for meals & fellowship. I don't recommend the trails during wet weather. They turn into "Shoe-suckers" when wet. The stables are... More

My husband and I recently stayed in the campground at Croft. It is a very nice property with a few pretty spacious campsites. There are 2 loops; one with a lake view which is the most popular, yet the sites are closer to each other and on a hill, and then the one we stayed in with more level terrain,... More

This modest sized park has facilities for numerous activities including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and boating. There are numerous trails which meander through the heavily wooded park and you may end up sharing some of them with mountain bikes and horses. There is a wide open area which is designed to accommodate equestrian activities, with ample parking for horse... More

Croft State Park is a gem in Spartanburg County! There are many trails for hikers, bikers even horses. A beautiful lake and campground are on the grounds. The trails are well kept and used frequently, but it is so spread out, you sometimes don't see anyone!! My husband rides his mountain bike there 2x every week!

We stayed in a 34 ft. TT and had plenty of room in site #12. We had to block the road to unhitch, but there was plenty of room to park the 3500 next to the camper. Park has many miles of trails for cycling and horseback riding. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. It also has a shooting range.... More
