Great experience for the gold hunters in the crowd. It took about 1/2 hour and it was educational as well.

The kids enjoyed panning for gold and were thrilled to take their keepsakes home. The tour of the mine was very interesting and really put you back in the time of the Black Hills Gold Rush.

We visited the Mine in August whilst staying in Deadwood. We walked from town which took us 20 minutes. It was an interesting tour if you have an hour to kill.

The whole cost for the tour and gold panning should be less then $15 per person depending upon the age. It is a really I expensive side trip.

Wheelchairs have gone through the mine. The first door is too small to accommodate but you can carry the chair up the stairs and fold it through the doorway and it will fit through the mine.
