My family and I recently visited Deadwood and took the history tour around town and up to the cemetery. Our guide was very informative about this town and it's history.

Really nice little cemetery with lots of history. It is up a hill so you can overlook the town of Deadwood. Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane’s graves are very easy to get to.

A uphill climb, steep. Wild bill is buried there with calamity Jane next to him. If you watched deadwood series it brings the resting spot to many of the characters. For many the big horn sheep were a big attraction. Them wander in and are...More

A must see. Calamity Jane and Wild Bill are buried here, among others. Tours are available or you can visit on your own. Nice for history buffs and even if your not it's still interesting.

Several ways to reach this cemetery up above the town. You can take a bus tour which actually drives into the cemetery, you can drive your car and park then hike through the cemetery or you can walk up the hill from town (strenuous). If...More

It is definitely cool to see if you are a history buff or a fan of the city or show Deadwood. But not much else to see unless you are looking for a long lost relative IMO.

You pay a fee to enter for each person. You receive a pamphlet for “must see” graves throughout the cemetery. It also described why they were important. Great for history buffs.

We hiked up the hill to view the resting place of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. You can take a tour that offers great information on the History here. There is a gift shop as well for books and other items

My husband and I visited the cemetery on our way through Deadwood. The ladies at the admission booth ($2/person) were super friendly and there’s a walking tour map of the cemetery. Make sure to go to the overlook of the town.

Overlooking Deadwood is this historical cemetery. The steep hills attracts even Mountain goats we saw about ten grazing around the entrance . The staff was quick to show you where to go and the high points of the location. Of course Wild Bill Hicock and...More

Hi, it is a bit of a climb, but it depends how fit your seniors are! We saw lots of older folks manage it if they took it slowly but on a hot day it might be a real challenge. There is a bus tour you can take which takes... More

I haven't been in winter, but I can tell you the road to get up to the cemetery was a small winding road so if there is snow or ice, it would probably be treacherous. I've just moved to MT from the South and it seems that... More

We did not take it, but there is a tour bus that makes the trip there. However it is right in town, and there is plenty of free parking at the cemetery.
