Had read about this and expected an old-time cemetery, which it is not. Drive up to the entrance, park & pay $2/person. Walk up a bit more to the Hickok & Calamity Jane gravesites, then you can leave (unless you are really, really into cemeteries...More

Although everyone in our group felt weird about paying to see a cemetary, we all enjoyed. The guide provided gives a little information but we happened to catch the tail end of a bus tour talk and got alot more information. I would recommend seeing...More

Great historical stop that you should visit when in the area. Taking a tour is well worth the money to learn more about the area.

We toured the cemetery as part of a bus tour and were glad. It is narrow to drive a bit of a climb-its on a hillside-but very interesting to see the old tombstones and area.

We heard Wild Bill and Calamity Jane were buried so we had to drop by. The place has an excellent viewpoint over town.

Unfortunately, we were on one of the tours from town so we didn't get to spend much time here. We did visit Wild Bill and Calamity Jane's grave sites. Bill's is big with a sculpture and Jane is right beside him, as she requested. There...More

It helps to know Deadwood history a bit before talking a walk through this cemetery. Was interesting the first time, but after watching HBO's Deadwood could place more of the people and their history in Deadwood the second time.

Worth the time to visit here, great history of the area abounds. Very steep entrance and up to the gravesites of Wild Bill & Calamity Jane along with others. Small entry fee. Take your time to see all it has to offer. Probably best to...More

Interesting cemetery containing the graves of several of Deadwood's identities. A modest entrance fee is payable, but ample literature is supplied for a self guided tour. Parth ways are steep and will give you a work out, but it is worth the effort.

A beautiful and respectable place to visit when in Deadwood City. You can feel history as you walk through the cemetery. A must place to visit when in Dead Wood!

The entire cemetery is on a hillside. The walkways can be steep, but much of it is paved, so perhaps a wheelchair could be used.

I haven't been in winter, but I can tell you the road to get up to the cemetery was a small winding road so if there is snow or ice, it would probably be treacherous. I've just moved to MT from the South and it seems that... More

We did not take it, but there is a tour bus that makes the trip there. However it is right in town, and there is plenty of free parking at the cemetery.
