We did the tour and gold panning. I guess my expectations were different in my mind about the tour and thought it was a gold mine tour and not a gold mill tour. Seeing the equipment in working order was cool but not worth the...More

Thank you for stopping in to visit, and for the review. We're sorry you misunderstood that the tour was for the mining equipment, and not of a mine. We're so glad you enjoyed panning for gold! Take care!

Wades Gold Mill is like taking a step back in time! It was fascinating to see the old gold mill equipment in working order! And then dipping your very own pan in the water to find your own gold and garnets. Sis helped us swirl...More

We stopped here after seeing reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Gold panning was on my son's list of must dos and he had a great time. Although the creek was dry and we had to pan in troughs, the experience seemed authentic....More

We took 2 children to Wade's as we were told it was the best one for the school age kids. We paid for the museum tour-it was not interesting for the kids and I found myself bored. I would just do the panning and not...More

It looks like nothing, but don't be fooled by the looks. We (adults and kids) loved learning about panning for gold. Some of us actually found some gold flakes in our pans. We all found many garnets. The kids were having such a good time,...More

I think what we enjoyed most about Wade's was that it wasn't a set up and guaranteed to find something in the scoop of gravel. We also enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. Our guide was helpful and kind to our kids, it was...More

Thank you for your question! Our tour takes around 1 hr 15 minutes, and panning is around an hour and a half. You can certainly spend more time, but I would say a good 3 hours is reasonable. Hope we see you soon!
