The whole family had fun exploring the interesting sculptures in this park. Each sculpture was accompanied by a quote or poem that inspired (or was inspired by?) the sculpture. The artist was there taking admission and was very friendly and willing to talk about his...More

The driveway to get there is long, winding, and bumpy gravel. I wasn't sure if it was such a good idea to be driving it in our 1986 Barth motorhome with a motorcycle strapped to the back. I'm so glad we did. Many of the...More

I have to give credit to this person who created all this sculptures. I didn't like some of the creepy, satanic (like somebody said in a previous review), my son wanted to take a picture of this two red demons but if you have a...More

We took our 7 and 3 year old and they are still creeped out. The pictures online don't show all the satanic sculptures like the "dead" person hanging from inside the bull that my kids found when looking for the bats. If I would have...More

I had read about this place so we stopped on a whim. So glad we did! Don't let the $8 admission scare you away. The sculptures are wonderful and the poetry accompanying is at times deep and others whimsical. This is so worth the stop!

This was a really interesting place to visit These gigantic sculptures are right there for you to walk up to and touch. The artist was there and he gave us some background on some of the pieces. Just talking to him was worth the stop!...More

Stopped by on a whim as we were heading west. Glad we did. Immensely talented artist with a sense of humor. Peaceful setting and well worth the quick detour.

I gave the review an average only because it was not open for the season when we were driving through. We drove down the dirt roads just to check it out so we could only see what we could see from the entrance. It looks...More

DO NOT DRIVE BY THIS. Seriously. Get out. Stretch your legs. Walk around this super cool outdoor sculpture gallery. Colorful! Creative! With poetry to boot! BONUS if the artist is on site!

Travel distance for Montrose SD to Rapid City is 321 Mi , 4 hr 17 min under normal driving conditions. Additional time should you be lured to stopping at Wall SD and the world famous Wall Drug Store.

He will and can negotiate with you. We had 5 adults and 2 kids. 2 adults said they'd hang back and he said go in for free. Whatever the charge it was nominal and worth it. GO.
