We saw the original in Norway and thought it would be fun to see this one as we passed through Rapid City. What a beautiful replica and don't miss the prayer walk.

This was a hidden treasure. It didn't take long to walk the grounds and take in this beautiful place. Several volunteers were there taking care of the property while we were there. You can tell they take pride in this place.

The Chapel in the Hills is a lovely example of a Norwegian church. When I visited, there was a wedding taking place - what a beautiful venue! The gift shop was enjoyable and I liked the small house that displayed artifacts. Lovely place!

Didn't expect to stop here on our bus tour, but we did. What a pleasant surprise. It was very interesting to see this small chapel. Interesting details birth inside and outside. If you get a chance to stop, please do. You'll be amazed.

This church still has church service a couple times a week. Has a small hill to climb up but worth it to go see. Made out of all wood.

There are ramped sidewalks leading to and into the chapel, gift shop, and museum. The slopes are rather steep in some places, due to the nature of the terrain. To access the restrooms, there is one step up.
