Stave Kirke is lit up during advent at dusk. Absolutely breath taking with our recent 6 inches of snowfall. Service will be 5pm 12/9/2018. 50th anniversary celebration will be Summer 2019. Free attraction.(German is the #1 heritage of folks living here, Scandanavian is #2)

We were on a tour that made a stop here and we're happy that we did. I've seen pictures of these in Europe and this was an exact replica of one of them.

It is beautiful, quiet, serene! Walk the grounds, sit and meditate, go in the chapel and enjoy the audio. Pleasant and sociable employees willing to answer questions but ask them to to see what you need. Great little museum too!
