Great local art

Very nice staff; nice pottery; some really outstanding above average pieces; offers shipping at expected rates; we got to meet one of the artists.

Although small, Sioux Pottery has a nice selection of items to choose from. We were looking for a paten and chalice for a Communion set, and also mugs, and were quite pleased with our finds. The store includes a room with the collections, a second room with seconds that are discounted, and a third room where the pottery is made.... More

My wife loves Indian pottery. They had a half-price room. She put so many items on the counter that I finally told her we can't take anymore in carry-on. The lady offered to ship for us for a very, very reasonable price. The box just arrived today. Everything was perfect. And my wife is in heaven!

I have been collecting Native American items for sometime. I have two favorites I collect, Navaho Sand Paintings, and Sioux and Navaho pottery. This shop is wonderful and you can actually watch the artists working on their pieces and talk with them as they work. They are all Native Americans, and each piece I bought was signed on the bottom.... More

Great shop, friendly service. Didn't see the pottery being made but with the discounted stock it's well worth a look.

This is a great place to really see the work involved in making beautiful pottery. We were welcomed as soon as we entered the store and were given an overall review of what happens at the factory, an explanation sheet for the symbols used on the pottery, and then encouraged to walk through each room and talk to the artists.... I will stop at a good pottery place - like those in Zanesville Ohio, but I am usually disappointed. I didn't have much hope for this place, but what we read made us think it wasn't just a typical tourist trap, so we stopped. The dark body slip-mold pottery of Frankhoma in Sapulpa Oklahoma is something I grew up with.... More

We had a coupon saying kids could decorate a pot which was true. Upon arrival, we didn't really feel welcomed. We inquired and was told we could look around. It was very HOT in the building and only two artisans were working at the time.

This is a must stop for a great selection of fine pottery with authentic Native American symbols etched on the pieces. You have the opportunity to walk through the production area and learn much from the artists as they work. They are so willing to explain their work to visitors! Excellent variety of items and all very colorful. Ended up... More
