You can pan for gold(only found one flake) or you can tour the mine. The inside is for purchasing gifts.

Signs everywhere advertising this mine with underground waterfall. Drove 30 plus miles to find closed. Saw a local out walking dogs. He stated it's been closed over a year now.

Very interesting, I guess it could be called a man made cave. Worth the stop but you see it all in literally 10 minutes, so can be a quick stop if you are crunched for time.

Although it was very hot outside the temperature in the mine was in the 50s, which made for a nice break from the heat. It was interesting to hear the history of the mine and to also see demonstrations on how the 2 original mine owners dug the tunnel. The tour is just the right length and is an easy... More

All kids will enjoy this. About 45 min to an hour. Guides are very good and explain everything there is to know about gold mining. Give everyone a pan and explain how gold mining was done. Interesting and informative

Tried to visit ..but it's closed. Not sure why. Only the sign off the main road says closed on a tiny sign hanging at the bottom.

This spot is worth visiting once, if your expectations aren't high. It was cheap and all it is is a short walk into a cave with a waterfall inside. If that's all you expect, it's a cool spot. But don't expect anything grand. You can see this in less than half an hour.

Pricey to walk 600 feet back into a mountain to see water literally fall from a hole above. If allergic to mold, be careful the tunnel is full and very damp. The water falls out front were more impressve
