We were there shortly before the Sturgis rally, so the place was crowded. We were fortunate to get a parking across the street - on the street - because it was the only one there was. There are 4 different doors to Wall Drug all...More

We stayed in Wall while visiting the Badlands and had to visit Wall Drug which was down the street from our motel. It is a more like a small mall with about anything a tourist might want. They have cowboy hats and boots to the...More

You see the signs for miles driving across the state of South Dakota. After the one hundredth sign you have to stop just to see what this place is lol. Mainly a tourist trap, but it’s a great place to take a break enroute to...More

This place is like a theme park with lots of shops, places to eat and fun things to look at. We ate lunch in the art gallery room where you can see the collection of old west art which was very interesting. My husband had...More

We visited Wall Drug about 35 years ago. Much younger then and it was during tourist season. The place was hopping and filled with energy and had a carnival like atmosphere. The stores (collected under one roof) seem endless, rooms feeding one into the other,...More

Throw back to the 50s/60s when road travel hit a peak. Would have to say it's really more of a tourist trap than anything else. Would stop for the cafeteria food, beyond that, it's a lot of fanfare and jacked up pricing.

Driving across South Dakota we have seen the Wall Drug advertisements, billboards and offerings. So why not, let's Stop! Food, souvenirs, boots, books and more. Even had an animated T-Rex! Parking was easy, even with a 5th wheel. Even if you don't find anything to...More

Interesting to see. Not up to all the hype and large number of billboards. We did find a good bookstore there that specialized in Western History and bought a few books.

Don't bother if you dont have kids or have nothing else to do. There are tons of ad-boards on the highway hundreds of miles but this area is designed for tourist to waste money :). There isnt much that is original or that old-time charm.

Basically right across the interstate. (7.6 miles or 11 minutes) The drive through the Badlands returns via the Interstate. It is a great drive.

We went through 2 times about 8 days apart and never experienced that. No real problems besides the crowds but it was peek tourist season.
