Creative Discovery Museum is a hands-on children's museum in the heart of downtown Chattanooga that inspires all children to explore, innovate, create, and play. Our exhibits are designed to both entertain and educate as children discover the world around them and all it has to offer including art, music, dinosaur digging, water exploration, and science. Rated the #7 children's museum in the U.S. by Trekaroo in 2015.

The Creative Discovery museum is a great place to go if you have small children. Older kids will definitely get bored there as soon as they walk in. My daughter went on a field trip there, and was sad that the workers wouldn't let her play on the water playground. We went as a family and she had a blast.

We took our 5year old grandson. Their exhibits hinged around chess. He built walls of castles, learned about beehives, had creation stations to build simple robots, a mechanics area with a car, and it goes on and on. Great way to spend a day indoors.

We took my 21 yr old stepdaughter and her 1.5 yr old daughter. I loved that there were different things for all ages. It wasn't super busy although I'm sure on peak times there can be quite a bit of kids. We went during school hours so it was kind of quiet except for a field trip or two.

This is a great place to take children under 12. Most children like the Discovery Museum. It is not only fun but, adds the learning factor.

We stop here everytime we come to the aquarium. My son loves to play in all the different areas. I think his favorite is digging for dinosaur bones.

Put your phone away and be prepared to play! There are so many things to get involved with the kids here. We love the music room where you can sing in a recording studio, the art room where you have the opportunity to be an artist and producer, the dinosaur dig where you dig for dino bones and there are... Went here for a college Sr/Jr banquet. It was like walking down memory lane. Recommended for all ages. I did not go with children so, I'm not sure if I can give an accurate review as parents/children.

My husband and I volunteered to host a station at the Creative Discovery Museum a few weeks ago. We had no idea what to expect. There are many activities with hands on play. Great learning activities. Would definitely recommend for any children ages 4-10.
