We went to the aquarium many times over the years as our son was growing up. This is a site that has not been complacent over an opening of a tremendous exhibit. They have continued to expand, improve, and grow their presence and customer interaction opportunities. Outstanding.

We went on a holiday weekend, so the wait to get tickets was long (and happened to be outside in the rain) and subsequently inside was crowded. But the aquarium experience was very clean, nice, and well done. It takes a long time to get through all of the buildings, so our young kids were exhausted by the end. But... More

We went on a nice Sunday afternoon. The place was busy, but not too crowded. An issue with our ticket sale was taken care of without fuss. As for the exhibits... the freshwater center was really good. I understand with the TN Aquarium is known for it. There are exhibits for major rivers of the world in addition to the... More

Love this place, my 4 year old loves it too. Lots of places to sit while seeing exhibits. It's faster to buy tickets online/mobile than standing in line at arrival FYI! I do not recommend the eatery at the aquarium, it's over priced and not good. The tiny snack stand outside of the river exhibit is fine.

Great aquarium, one of the best I have been to. The setup walks you through the exhibits in a manner that allows for good flow even though it was busy. Saturdays and Sundays will have the most kids due to school and local events. Tour takes 2-3 hours without small children.

We have visited this aquarium several times and love it every time we go. All the exhibits are interesting and great for families. The extras like butterflies and penguins are great too.

One ticket gets you entry to the ocean exhibit, the rivers exhibit and the special exhibit. The first two are really great and unique experience. The otters and the penguins were very playful when we visited. Both exhibits have touch areas and while my daughter would not touch the fish in the rivers exhibit, she really liked the horseshoe crab... More

The aquarium has 2 large buildings, one focusing on the ocean, and one focusing on rivers and lakes. There is also a 3rd building, much smaller, that has exhibits presently from National Geographic dealing with water monsters such as large fish from around the world. I spent my off day there by myself just walking around, relaxing, and getting my... More

The wife and I visited the Aquarium on Friday, February 17th, 2017. It is a very beautiful facility located on the riverfront. Ample and reasonably priced parking is available. We paid $9 for all day parking at a lot immediately next to the Aquarium. Upon request we were given a Veteran discount for our general admission tickets which allowed us... More

Our first visit to the Tennessee Aquarium. It was well planned with the fresh water and salt water separated in two buildings. Very educational. Have been to other aquariums, but saw many different forms of water creatures. A must see for children.
