Stopped at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Museum on my way to Florida. We had a nice relaxing time seeing the old time trains and memorabilia . Nice place to relax a while.

This is now a hotel. The grounds were very pretty and the christmas decorations were being put up. Beautiful old train station is now a grand lobby. In its time I can only imagine all the activity and buzz that would have been in this place.

This seems to be the place that everyone has heard of, I wanted to stay in one of the trains but it seemed very expensive, so I stayed elsewhere and walked down to have a look. Seeing the trains I am glad that I stayed elsewhere, they looked very basic and the reviews seem to back that up. I had... More

Had great time taking pictures and walking around the gardens. we were only there for about 20 minutes but you can stay and have breakfast or lunch in the adjoining hotel.

The grounds are beautiful and you can climb up on the trains for a peek in. I have been there in all seasons and it is most pretty when the gardens are in bloom during the Spring.

My train-obsessed two year old loved it. I really don't see what the hype is all about, except that it is a Chattanooga landmark. If it was not surrounded by good restaurants, I'm not sure I would visit again.

The hotel is nice, and we did select a railcar to stay in. I would only recommend the railcar during the Spring and/or Fall seasons as there is no insulation. You either burn up or freeze, not much middle ground. The unit 776 we stayed in had broken window treatments, and the bathroon floor around the toilet was sagging, so... More

I have already reviewed this hotel. If your just going to play video games or ice skate than you will be ok. Just don't stay the night.

expensive way to spend the night but if you REALLY love trains you'll enjoy the Pullman cars made into two suites. each suite has a/c. restraint in main hotel. cost is very pricey but again if you really love trains and are in town why not? the engine itself is a nice photo opportunity but you can't get into its... We thought the visit to the Choo Choo would have been the highlight of our stay in Chattanooga but we were somewhat disappointed as, although the engine was in fine condition, the carriages needed some TLC. The station terminal, which is now a hotel, was also in need of refurbishment and didn't appeal to us as somewhere we would want... More
