The hike to Sunset Rock was wonderful. Lots of differentiating terrains with boulders, steep climbs, easy stretches, great views, small water features and moss. It was so serenade. Loved it!

When visiting Lookout Mountain National Military Park, a stop at Cravens house is interesting because of the significance of the fighting during the battle of Lookout Mountain. Just be aware that the house was destroyed during the fighting and is a replica of the original...More

This is the site of a Civil War battle, the home was rebuilt in 1866 and is on the cliff of the mountain. The National Park ranger was very informative and the property is interesting.

The view is amazing! Glad that we followed the road, even though it was quite narrow at first there is plenty of parking at the top.

We went up there one evening. What a view of the city. There are several Union monuments and walking trails. What impressed us the most was the Williams House next to the Craven House. It was built in the early 1900s and is slated to...More
