There is a sculpture garden, a variety of diverse restaurants, the Hunter Art Museum, the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts, the "must browse" River Gallery (an art gallery deceptively big with 10 rooms), grandiose views of the river and Rembrandt's Coffee House when you get tired of wondering around.

Kind of exotic "European" climate (just streets are wider and buildings younger) a few minutes walk from the city center. A must see - quiet place with nice pieces of architecture. Good alternative to more noisy Aquarium area.

This has something for everyone: hotel rooms, bakery, restaurants and beauty. It is great to visit for the sculpture garden overlooking the Tennessee River and is in easy walking distance of other attractions nearby: Hunter Museum, Tennessee Aquarium, Walnut Street Walking Bridge, and downtown Chattanooga.

This area is just 3-4 blocks up from the downtown Aquarium starting at the "Walnut Street Bridge". It is a very nice stroll through the streets around the Hunter Museum and along the Bluff of Tn River with outdoor art work all around that changes frequently, ending with a small "art park". Also, great coffee shop and restaurants.

We stopped for breakfast, thought it was just coffee and muffins. Left and walked around to see if there was any other breakfast. We decided to go back and glad we did! They have a small breakfast menu with eggs, etc., but was really good! There were tables in the back and a really cute patio with tables. If it... More

It was a really cold day, but we still really enjoyed walking around the area. There are places to eat, get coffee, art displays. We didn't go inside the art museum, stayed outdoors. Walking bridges led to river area and Aquarium. Plan on returning on a beautiful sunny day!
