Nice walk across walking bridge over the Tennessee River. Views of the river and city are awesome. Don't miss the sunset and the ice cream when you get to the North Shore!

Who knew you could review a bridge?! This is my favorite bridge ever since you can walk across it (or bike). It's a great connection between the North Shore area and downtown. We've used it while staying in Chattanooga, and also stopped off on our...More

This is a beautiful walk. We loved the view and spent time right next door in the Bluff View Arts District. There is a free electric bus shuttle that drops off near here and many of the other popular downtown destinations, so don't pay for...More

Walked the bridge on a cool, sunny morning. Brought our 2 pups along and enjoyed the views of the river, cyclists and large potted flowers. Lots of "Kodak" moments. Both sides deliver you into a park! Very clean and refreshing.

We were visiting the aquarium and read about Walnut Bridge. We're glad we took the walk a few blocks. The bridge was not too busy, but just enough foot traffic to feel safe and not isolated like on a huge bridge all by yourself. I...More

A leisurely activity for all! Enjoy the scenic view with your family, friends, or significant other. My children absolutely love walking the bridge. A ton of history both good and bad occurred here.

This is a very unique bridge. This spans across the river in Chattanooga and has some history to it. They said it was about to be torn down because of the repair that needed to be done. A group of people began raising money for...More

I am looking at getting married in October on the Walnut Street Bridge and was just look for advice from others who have gotten married on the bridge. The Parks & Recreation Department is telling me that we can only use one lane of the bridge, which doesn't seem like it will leave a lot of room for chairs and things for our guests. I have seen pictures of weddings on the bridge and it looks like they are using the whole center part of the bridge but that is not what they are telling me I can do so just looking for advice from others who have gotten married there. Thanks.

I didn't get married there but the bridge is pretty wide. I think you'd just need to find out the dimensions of it and go from there.
Do they have Christmas lights on this bridge this time of year?
