We pass this every time we go to McKay's (which you should go there to!;) we looked it up when studying the Civil War. It is different from so many that are out in fields...being so close to commercial development. Still a testament to families...More

As you walk through the gates you can just imagine the battle that took place here. There are rocks that soldiers carved their names which makes it even more real. If you enjoy Civil War History this is a must visit.

My husband loves history and I love old cemeteries. This was a perfect place for us to go and walk through. It's rich in history and so interesting.

It is well worth the time to visit this small cemetery. It is unique in that it was a burial place for unknown soldiers. It is a good place for a time of quiet reflection.

This is a very moving place to see. You must go. Many young men and boys lost there lives in Chattanooga. It is part of our history as a nation.

I had to climb walls to get inside (perhaps an entrance I couldn't see) and was saddened - perhaps lack of funding but the grounds were not kept. Not a lot of advertising - I stumbled on it.

We stumbled upon this place completely by accident. We happened to be staying across the street in a hotel a spotted it. Very small and not much to see, but there is a small box with recordings about the cemetery. If you like history you...More

I am a lover of History and Archeology…good reasons to travel. While visiting friends in Dalton, GA, they invited me to visit historical sites in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This cemetery received my attention. A brief story tells us that the 155 unknown confederate graves belong to...More
