It is well worth the time to visit this small cemetery. It is unique in that it was a burial place for unknown soldiers. It is a good place for a time of quiet reflection.

Oddly enough a cemetery brings to life the men that fought and died during the critical battles of Chattanooga and Chickamauga. These were real people and each gravesite makes the loss of a real family so many years ago.

Those who would most enjoy this are people with a deep interest in the Civil War and knowledge of the battles and aftermath in Chattanooga. Those buried here died in local "hospitals" after the battle. There was a redoubt (currently a soccer field) close by...More

This is a very moving place to see. You must go. Many young men and boys lost there lives in Chattanooga. It is part of our history as a nation.

I had to climb walls to get inside (perhaps an entrance I couldn't see) and was saddened - perhaps lack of funding but the grounds were not kept. Not a lot of advertising - I stumbled on it.

You won't find this cemetery very easily but the stop is worth while as it is the final resting place of Confederate soldiers who fought in the battle of Perryville and were brought back to Chattanooga to recover. It has been neglected over the years...More

Years ago, this place was back way from everything. Now buildings have built up all around it. You can look through the gate, but you can't go inside. Not much to see, but for a civil war buff it is interesting.

A beautiful memorial without much fanfare, this little plot of land serves as the resting place of the Civil War. Anyone who enjoys old cemeteries or Civil War history should take a minute to pay their respects to part of our Southern heritage. Much respect...More
