Very personal and thought out descriptions of items. Loved the peacocks! Gift shop was full of unique items and café served home cooked meals. Tour was self guided, friendly staff.

The Main Museum has wonderful pieces from the Appalachian People especially the musical instruments! The outer buildings provide tourists a look into the AP's everyday lives! Great afternoon for us!

What impressed me the most where the historic photographs of the people of Appalachia, and their faces. Some of the stories paired with the images were incredibly touching. Take time to explore the buildings at the back of the site. Very good museum.
