We loved the feeling we got when visiting downtown Franklin. Such a quaint town. Very rich in history. Take time to read all the wonderful land marks and information hung on buildings, churches and homes. Great shops and resturants. We will definitely be back!

Cute boutiques and restaurants on every block. Historical sites, brewery's, whiskey distillery not very far and of course music, something for everybody.

I lived in Franklin for about 6 months and the historic downtown has a very nice vibe to it, very unique too. With many good dining places and an old school movie theater that plays random movies and play exhibits. Don't expect to buy anything too cool here though.

I had heard a lot about Franklin, TN and decided to visit. It is like any other downtown area in a small town. There was nothing exceptional and not a lot of variety in the shopping. Most shops were boutique and very expensive. Parking was also an issue. I was rather underwhelmed.

Franklin's downtown area is absolutely charming and picturesque. It offers a variety of shops and fantastic places to eat. I highly recommend coming during one of their town events like the Fourth of July. So much fun!

I vote downtown Franklin as the best downtown in the south. It is absolutely charming with shops selling everything from fashions to antiques to gifts, furniture, home furnishings, specialty food & kitchen stuff, etc., and plenty of outstanding places to eat. This is not a party town (as in, full of bars and clubs) which makes it quite peaceful (albeit... More

Park your car, pick up a visitors' guide/map & walk Main Street & side streets. Window shop or browse boutiques, gift shops & antiques! If you love a bargain, don't miss Our Community Thrift Shop. It's filled with bargains & a friendly staff. If you have a full day, tour at least one Civil War property.
